Marcelo Zárate is currently serving as CEO, having joined Fit & Proper in 2006.
Marcelo Zárate has a Masters degree in Finance with capital market orientation from University of CEMA (Argentina) and is a Certified Public Accountant from University of Belgrano (Argentina).
He has led teams that provided consulting services on risk management and risk-based supervision to Superintendencies of Banks and financial institutions in Latin America, and has published and taught courses and seminars on these issues, both domestically and internationally.
He is also CEO of ZonaBancos.com, web site with the objective of promoting subjects related to banking and financial education.
He has extensive experience in banking supervision, having served for 15 years in supervisory activities in the Central Bank of Argentina, where he participated, among other things, in the privatization process of public banks in Argentina.
